In family planning we av 3 methods of family planning
1) pills
2) injectable
3) condom
How can we use the pills ?the contraceptive pill is a tablet taken orally by woman to prevent pregnancy. It is used by taking one tablet everyday as long as they don't want to be pregnant. This is d usually d best method for young girls because it works by preventing ovulation so when withdrawn pregnancy occurs quickly and it can be used also to treat infertile woman to get pregnant
Most contraceptive pill contain two chemicals Estrogen and progestin this hormones are similar to does produced naturally in a woman's body which act to prevent d ovaries from releasing egg's, this allow the woman to have a monthly menstrual cycle.
On this pill we have it in sachet some 21 and 38
How to use the one on 21
You will take d pill on the fifth day from d beginning of your period, you will counting the first day of the period as day 1. Then take 1 pill every day until you finish the sachet.
Method of using the one on 28 sachet
It as the same as method 1 but the only difference we have is no special diet should be followed when taking this pill. If u feel maleria during the time you are using this pill don't stop using it but dat does not disturbing u from using normal drugs for malerias because if you stop the pill and eventually you have sex with your boyfriend/husband sir/ma this can lead to unexpected pregnancy
Side Effects of Pill
Some woman can get a little morning sickness, swelling of the breasts or other signs of pregnancy when dey first start using d pill.
Most woman bleed less than usual in their monthly period when they are taking the pill.
Family planning gives couples the choice of when to begin having children, how many to have and how far apart to have them and when to stop. It also helps to treat infertile couples to get pregnant. Becoming pregnant before the age of 18 or after the age of 40 years increase the health risk for both method and child.
Before age of 18 years girls are not strong enough to undergo the risk of child bearing so therefore they need teachers and parental guids so as to avoid been pregnant and become useful adult to the society.
Sexually active adolescent can use some family planning methods but abstinence is best for dem.
Some people are not allowed to take pill for preventing pregnancy
1) If u are hepatitis patient
2) Deep or steady pain in one leg or hip
3) Stroke
4) Cancer
Injection
This injection is an hormonal preparation that is injected into the woman to keep them from getting pregnancy for atleast two or three months. It contains a single progestin hormone that causes hormonal imbalance thereby preventing ovulation. It must not be used without proper medical checkup and it is not recommend for nulliparous woman.
Meaning of nulliparous is a woman dat never give birth to life child because of it ability to return to normal menstrual cycle
We have Intrauterine Contraceptive Device IUCD
Is a small device inserted into the uterus to prevent pregnancy, it is made up of copper and plastic materials which contain a thin string attached to it dat extend from uterus to vagina. Pls don't just go to anybody to insert it for you is only a doctor's or nurse can do this. In as much u have this pregnancy can never be occur is only when u which to get pregnant that you will remove it and pregnancy occur immediately
CONDOM
The condom is a narrow rubber or latex bag that thr man or woman wears on his penis or vagina while having sex. It usually works and even preventing people from contacting HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted disease
In conclusion
Withdrawal or pulling out
Is a method in which the man pulls his penis out of the woman before the sperm comes, this method is perhaps better than none. But some men do not pull out in time, especially if dey have been drinking. They will think dey are still enjoy not know they are playing with pregnant already.
Emergency contraception
After unprotected sex is possible using pills if the pill was taking in d first 3days of d sexual intercourse,
For does ladies who enjoy sex without using condoms or allow ur man to use condoms and you are not ready for pregnancy then monitor your calendar very well.
For example suppose your period begins on the 5th day of November which is yesterday, just count that as day number 1 and Mark it in your calendar, then count 10days starting with the 10th days just put a line under the next 8days. During this 8 days fertile days please do not available sexual relation. Now supposed your next period begin on the first of December you will just following the first step you take in November.
If the woman and his husband and girlfriend to boyfriend that is not having sex together during this 8days in each months, it is possible for going yearly without hearing pregnancy.
