I went to pick my children from lesson and I saw her waiting for her children outside the school gate. I greeted and noticed her front teeth went missing. Madam what happened? She requested we go inside the car to talk. After narrating her ordeal, I asked her, why can't you divorce him? And her response shocked my bones. I'm sorry I can't, I am one of the marriage counselors in my church while my husband is a prayer warrior leader in Deeper Life Church.
I just kept boiling as she was talking. How can someone be used to domestic violence and ready to endure because of church title? I even asked her is that what your church preach? Guess her funny response? Bible said we should have fruits of the spirit which includes long suffering. I told her, madam I wish you more grace to endure, I left her car.
Last week Saturday I arrived Lagos and got home to hear that she is dead. What happened? She served him his food and forgot to go on her knees to serve him and our dear husband went mad and slapped her shouting that she has started growing wings. She apologised and they went to church on Thursday pretending to be perfect. That same night she slept and never woke up. Report said it is blood clot in the brain.
Her husband is alive with their four kids and tomorrow I am sure he will remarry after all their daddy superintendent remarried after 3months. Her nanny is the one spreading the news that Uncle beats her at any slight opportunity. Infact if I write reasons why he beats her, you'll think I'm lying because it is an unbelievable reason. Now church members paying condolence visit are saying, it is God's will. Can you imagine? DV is God's will?
Well, her wake keep abi service of songs is today and tomorrow is her burial. She allowed herself die because of religion. Many of you are like that. You listen to everything your daddy G.O says and forget why you're alive. I have read this Bible from beginning to end and I've never seen where it is written thou shall stay in an abusive marriage. I have never seen where it is written, it is a MUST to be married neither have I seen, marriage certificate is a gate pass to heaven.
Better be wise. As for me, I don't feel for her. I feel for the kids. I warned her and I was ready to help her but her "church" took a better part.
I guess I have to conclude that the best place to find wicked sinners is in the church and funny thing they hold big titles in that same church.
